It would appear I am the only one taking this challenge at the moment as no-one is sharing their experience with me but hey, its making me happier so you all ought to give it a go.  I think Im probably on stage 4 now anyway, maintaining the positive approach to life.  I cant say I am smiles all day but I am certainly less angry at things outside of my control.  I may react at the time that the situation occurs but then its done and I am back to myself again.  Its amazing how much more energy I have at the end of the day when I only use it as and when I please.  I am controlling my environment, my life, the way people interact with me and it feels goooooood.  It appears though that I am interacting to with myself on here..... o dear, that doesnt sound quite right!!

I am finding my life is richer than I had previoulsy percieved, and I guess thats the whole point of this exercise xx

I love this site and it is so great to see a forum for positivity given the way so many people view the world from such a judgemental and negative standpoint. That is my work in the world at the moment, alongside my healing, is to get people to see how much misery they cause themselves simply through their mindset and the way they view the world. The mindset of grumbling and complaining about all that is not the way we would choose it to be is so prevalent these days and the media does so much to fuel this non acceptance of what is. We only have to look at the way people view the weather to see that!

I have been noticing that people don't always realise when you don't agree with them about how awful things are.....they just need a sounding board to bounce their thoughts off. Over time though I find that this "consciousness is catching" and people are less likely to air their moans to me. That is how our positive attitude can have an effect on those we are in contact with.......and people do smile more when we smile first!!

I totally agree, especially regarding the weather.  We are pretty much housebound at the moment due to arthritis etc.  In the past I have thought my neighbours to be friendly, but rather aloof....how wrong I was!  In the past week we have had 2 people snow shifting, one lady did our weekly shop, & several offers to just phone if we require anything at all.   It just shows how much we can learn through adversity!!

I have to say I do agree with Brenda, not least because she is my mum! I have seen many moments of kindness come out of the weather conditions. Yesterday our postman lent a hand to push a car out of the street. On the news there are regular moments of people pulling together ....or should I say pushing together!

I am so grateful to those who are helping my parents and my mother in law as I have been stranded at home for much of the time as my street is inaccessible in snow and ice. There is always a positive side to any situation I find......if we only look for it.

I guess the point being shared on this site, open your eyes to happiness, then share it does have powerful affects when applied.

I am finding my new approach to life is having lots of benefits.  My daughter is happier for a start and less demanding.  People around me are behving far more supportive or me and others because i am reaching out to them with genuine compassion.  I stopped being as compassionate through my own pain and experiences but realised that only perpetuates the problem.  The more open we are to others, the more open they become in return.  Thank you for chatting with me, you mst ahve a few stories you could share on here to help life others.
